Pedestrian hit crossing road

AN 80-year-old woman pedestrian was taken to hospital today after she was struck by a car.

The collision happened as she crossed Watling Street, Bexleyheath, near the junction with Park Grove, at about 11.15am.

The car involved was a Vauxhall Vectra.

The woman was taken to Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup, by land ambulance suffering from a head injury and a broken arm.

Her condition is described as non-life threatening. Police are investigating the collision.
