Pensioner's handbag stolen as she tends garden

AN 86-year-old woman was burgled as she worked in her front garden. The pensioner left her front door open at her home in Highfield Road Ramsgate, for two hours while she tended her plants.

When she went indoors she discovered her handbag had been stolen. It contained £15 in cash, a cheque book and bank cards.

There was no sign of forced entry and police believe the offender sneaked past her while she was tending her plants
