Pet rabbit killed in cruel firework attack

A PET rabbit suffered fatal injuries when it had a firework attached to its neck in a Kent village.

Police say two Dwarf lop-eared rabbits were stolen from their cage in the back garden of a house in Bridge Street, Wye, near Ashford on Friday night.

It is thought a firework was attached to one of the animals, which then exploded inflicting terrible injuries to the rabbit. It later died.

The other rabbit has since been found unharmed.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
