The pair are thought to have got into a silver Alfa Romeo with a black spoiler which was parked nearby and drove off.

One of the men is described as being white, of slim build, around five foot five tall and was wearing a black hooded-style ski jacket and covering his face with a blue-striped scarf.

The other was also white and around five foot five tall but was wearing a blue jacket with a black scarf covering his face.

PS Neil Kimber, from the Isle of Sheppey Crime Investigation Unit, said: "This was a callous and cowardly crime and I would urge the public to study these images.

"Anyone who may recognize the men within them should contact us.

"Alternatively, those pictured may wish to rule themselves out of our enquiries."
