THESE tattoos could be the key to identifying a man found dead on a roadside.

The man, whose death is being treated as unexplained, was found on Friday at about 1am by a member of the public.

The London Ambulance Service and police were called to the carriageway area of Picardy Manor Way, close to the junction with Poppy Close, in Lower Belvedere.

The man was a black man with a round face, he is approximately 5ft6 with a thin moustache and short black hair. He is believed to be about 30-years-old.

Det Insp Steve Goddard of Bexley Police, who is leading the investigation, said: "At the present time we have been unable to identify him and are therefore unable to notify his family and friends.

"He has unusual tattoos and I am hoping that someone may recognise them, know what they mean or where they originated."
