Police hunting a sex attacker who pushed a young girl against a wall before assaulting her have released this efit image.

They are keen to speak to the man pictured after a 15-year-old was assaulted as she walked home along Greenhithe High Street after visiting Asda.

A man, who she had seen smoking outside the Pier pub at around 9.50pm on July 20, started following her.

It is then he pushed her against against a wall and sexually assaulted her before pushing her to the ground and walking away.

The young girl ran home and told her family.

Detective Constable Jo Fountain said: "We have been working with the owner of the Pier Pub, local residents, the young girl and her family in order to further the investigation.

"We have recently had reports of a man fitting the description being seen inLondon RoadandEagles Roadin Greenhithe. This man may be local or may be visiting someone in the area.

"This was clearly a very traumatic experience for the young girl and we need to ensure nothing like this happens again."

The man is said to be white, ‘very tall’, with big shoulders, a wide chin, black short hair, and smelt of alcohol and cigarettes.

He was wearing a black coat and light-coloured jeans, believed to be in his 40s and spoke with an English accent.
