Police suspect coins and tools found in car used for theft

A CAR that was stopped for being untaxed contained pound coins and tools that police believe could be used to steal money from fruit machines.

Officers stopped the blue Vauxhall Corsa at around 6pm on Tuesday in Rowetts Way, Eastchurch, on the Isle of Sheppey.

When the car was searched the coins and tools were found and two men in the car, aged 33 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped for theft.

They are both in police custody.
