A man was threatened in a robbery at a Post Office as three men escaped with cash.

The incident happened in Southfleet Road, Bean, at 2.50pm yesterday.

Three men entered the store and threatened a member of staff, before making off with money.

The man suffered cuts and bruises, but did not require hospital treatment.

Officers and foresnsic teams attended the scene and inquires are continuing.

Last month, a man was shot and dumped in the quiet high street in broad daylight.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Bean on Saturday, December 3 when a 30-year-old man, with two gunshot wounds to his right leg, was thrown from a van outside the village post office.
