A LICENSEE has been found dead in his car outside the public house he ran in Northfleet.

The 38-year-old Swanscombe man, known only as Wayne, is believed he died of natural causes after suffering problems with diabetes.

Police were called to the Old Coach and Horses Pub in London Road, Northfleet, at about 2.45am on Monday. A spokesman added: "A 38-year-old male was found sat in his car opposite the pub."

"There were no suspicious circumstances and no suggestion of suicide. We do know the man had problems with diabetes. We will now wait for the coroner to open an inquest to find out the cause of death.”

The man was not married but his father and brother, who live in the area, have been informed of the death.
