Ram-raid pair target supermarket

RAM-RAIDERS who struck at a supermarket at Rainham made off with a large quantity of alcohol.

Two thieves used a vehicle to force open a fire exit door at the back of the Tesco store in Rainham's shopping centre early on Tuesday morning.

The two offenders are both described as being aged between 25 and 27.

One is black, slim build and about 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a silver zip down the front, black jogger bottoms with solid white stripe to the knee and a blue baseball cap with a white Nike tick on the forehead. He was also wearing black and silver trainers.

The second man, who is white, is about 5ft 10in tall and of medium build with dark brown hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a small white emblem, blue jeans, black trainers and white socks. He was also wearing a beige baseball cap.

Medway police are appealing for information in connection with the ram-raid which happened at about 2.10am.

A spokesman said: "Anyone with information is asked to contact Medway police on 01634 884252 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. All calls to Crimestoppers are free and are treated in the strictest of confidence."
