Ram-raiders target supermarket still serving customers

BRAZEN thieves ram-raided a supermarket with a 4x4 while customers and staff were inside.

Kent Police say the offenders reversed into the Asda store in Swanley Shopping Centre and then five or six people jumped out and helped themselves to cash from the tills.

Some of the offenders then got back into the 4x4 while the others got into another vehicle. They then drove off towards Goldsel Road.

The raid happened at about 9.15pm on Monday. No-one was injured during the incident.

Kent Police have spoken to a number of witnesses and are appealing to anyone who saw the raid to come forward. Telephone Tonbridge CID on 01732 379 217 or Kent CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
