A renewed appeal has been issued by the police for help in finding a man missing from his home since last Wednesday.

Following a request for the public's help, sightings of 44-year-old Paul Day were reported, the last one being being along the Tankerton Slopes at around 4.45pm on Thursday evening.

Mr Day, 44, who is described as "highly vulnerable" went missing from his home in Whistable on Wednesday morning.

A search involving a helicopter, police officers, the Coastguard and Kent Search and Rescue failed to find him.

Mr Day is 6ft 2ins, of stocky build and with short brown greying hair.

He was last seen wearing green trousers, a short black coat and brown walking boots. He may also be wearing a fleece.

His family are increasingly concerned about him and anyone with information should contact police on 01622 690690.
