RMB International, a wholly owned subsidiary of the First Rand Group, one of the largest quoted companies in South Africa, has moved out of London to establish a new office in Sevenoaks.

The company predicts that its Sevenoaks office, at Swiss Life House, South Park, will expand from 60 to 100 staff, over the next three years.

Locate in Kent assisted RMB International in finding office space which offered the necessary high tech IT infrastructure to sustain efficient operations in the international investment services arena outside the City.

Sevenoaks proved an attractive location for RMB International due to the high standard of the facilities available and the beneficial financial implications involved in a move out of London.

Joseph Pieterse, chief operating officer, Investment Services said; “We have a history of being an employer of choice and believe that our relocation to Sevenoaks will enhance our staff’s working environment, ultimately increase productivity and position us for future growth.”

Paul Wookey, chief executive of Locate in Kent, added: “We are delighted that a company of RMB International’s calibre has decided to move out of the capital and relocate to Kent. With such advantageous rents which can lead to savings of up to 60% and a readily available skilled workforce, we are securing a greater degree of inward investment than ever before. More businesses are seriously considering Kent as a viable alternative to London.”

RMB International is a specialised provider of funds-based multi-manager investment management and administration.
