Robinson set for Bromley debut

Striker Ashley Robinson could be in-line to make his Bromley debut this Saturday against Basingstoke.

Former Crystal Palace forward Robinson, 18, joined the club on Wednesday.

Robinson joined the Eagles at 14 and progressed through the youth set-up. He made his first team debut against Preston in March and went on to make five further substitute appearances at the back end of last season.

He could go straight into the side to face Blue Square South basement side Basingstoke at Hayes Lane.

Bromley go into the game off the back of an impressive away win over high-flying Chelmsford, but the win was soured with the loss of skipper Nic McDonnell through injury. His absence could mean a place in the starting eleven for Robinson.

Before last weekend’s win Bromley had only tasted victory once in their previous nine games. They currently sit 12th in the table.
