Sex attacker strikes in quiet street

A TEENAGE girl was attacked and sexually assaulted by a stranger in a quiet Kent street.

The 17-year-old was returning home to Adie Road in Greatstone, near New Romney, between 1.30am and 1.45am on Wednesday, July 19. She had been out with friends for a birthday celebration.

After getting to her house she realised she had forgotten her keys and discovering nobody was home she started to head to her friend’s house.

She was walking along the road when she was attacked by a hooded man, who knocked her to the ground and sexually assaulted her on the grass verge.

After the attack the girl ran to her friend’s house when police were called.

The attacker is described as between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall, and was wearing dark trousers or jeans, a black hoodie top with baggy arms with a pouch type pocket at the front and black trainers.
