Gillingham boss Mark Stimson is delighted to see Simeon Jackson back among the goals.

Jackson ended a six game barren spell on Tuesday with his 14 of the season in the 1-1 draw at Hartlepool in League 1.

His last goal was on December 12 in Huddersfield, but he was on target again with a second half header.

“It’s great for him because he is someone who plays the game to score goals,” said Stimson.

“He hasn’t been down but you can see in his body language that it wasn’t going according to plan.

“He got a good goal with a header across the near post and that will do him the world of good. Maybe that will get him on a nice run of goals now.”
