Six hurt as minibus and BMW collide

POLICE were called to Sutton Road in Maidstone this morning after a minibus was involved in a collision with a BMW.

The crash happened at the junction of Sutton Road and Grove Road, near Kent Police headquarters.

It is reported at this stage that the Iveco minibus, which was said to be carrying 14 elderly people at the time, went into the back of the BMW.

Reports suggest that five of the minibus’s occupants have since been taken to Maidstone Hospital, along with the driver of the BMW.

However, this is said to be only precautionary with no life-threatening injuries thought to have been sustained.

One carriageway of Sutton Road was blocked for some time.
