Review: Led Zeppelin, Bluewater Cinema, Wednesday, October 17

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin performed at London's O2 Arena in a tribute concert for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. Twenty million applied for tickets, only 18,000 struck lucky.

Now the millions who missed out can finally see the performance in the film of the show, released on DVD next month.

And for one night only this week you could see Led Zeppelin larger than life and with amazing sound quality - and pumped up volume, thank you so much! - at special screenings of the film at Showcase Bluewater.

The December 2007 concert was Led Zeppelin's first show in 27 years, since the death of drummer John Bonham.

Surviving members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were joined by Jason Bonham, son of John. The two-hour show features 16 songs including Whole Lotta Love, Black Dog, Kashmir, Rock and Roll and, yes, Stairway to Heaven.

From start to finish, a truly incredible performance, enjoyed from the best seats in the house at Showcase Bluewater.

It's been a long time since you rock and rolled' Zep but oh boy, you've still got what it takes.

Celebration Day – Led Zeppelin, the DVD and soundtrack, is released Monday, November 19.
