Street attack victim on the mend

A 30-year-old man who was seriosuly injured after being attacked in the street by a group of men is now said to be making a steady recovery.

Police say Andrew Richardson, from Warren Wood Road, Rochester, is no longer in a critical condition. He was attacked by a gang of men in Cossack Street, Rochester, at about 6.30pm on Saturday, October 8.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “There has been a marked improvement in Mr Richardson's condition.”

A man from Medway has been arrested in connection with the assault. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
