A teenager had her head smashed against a wall by a thug who tried to steal her mobile.

The 18-year-old woman was targeted by a man who demanded her phone in Dymchurch.

When she said no, the would-be robber hit her head against the sea wall before pulling her towards him and swiping at her face.

The victim, whose cheek was scratched and suffered concussion, managed to run away before calling police.

Her attacker - who struck at about 12.35am last Wednesday - is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, about 6ft with dark brown hair and was unshaven.

He was wearing a black or navy blue hooded top, jeans and white shoes.

Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to phone Kent Police on 101, quoting reference ZY/028591/12, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
