One of the world's most famous pieces of sculpture is coming to the Turner Contemporary in Margate.

Rodin's The Kiss will be on display between October this year and September 2012.

The life-size embracing lovers will be put on display in the Sunley Gallery at the same time as a new exhibition on how youth experience has been expressed in art.

The news comes almost a month after the £17m gallery was opened to the public in a blaze of publicity.

More than 3,000 people visited in just three hours, with many hoping to Many catch a glimpse of artist Tracey Emin and musician Jools Holland.

On loan from the Tate collection and one of the most iconic images of sexual love, The Kiss was voted the nation's favourite work of art in a 2003 poll.

It is based on a 13th century story of forbidden love, immortalised in Dante's Inferno.
