Thug fractures man's jaw in attack in Rheims Way, Canterbury

Police investigating a vicious attack which left a 27-year-old with a fractured jaw have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to.

A Whitstable man needed hospital treatment after an early morning assault in Rheims Way, Canterbury.

Details about the attack, which happened at around 1.20am on Sunday, October 30, have only just been released.

DC Dave Wells of Kent Police said: "The victim was with his girlfriend and her friend outside the former Habitat store.

"He and his girlfriend were arguing when a man walked past and punched him in the face before running off along Rheims Way and then down the embankment towards Toddlers Cove.

"The offender is described as being aged between 20 and 25, having short, spiky hair and wearing a blue checked top.

"We'd like anyone who saw the incident or recognises the description or the e-fit to contact us."
