Twins trapped in locked car

TWIN boys aged two were rescued by firefighters this morning from their mum's locked car.

It happened at 9.10am in Lovell Road, Minster.

Sheppey firefighters had to break a window of the people carrier to get them out.

Watch manager Andy Bridger-Smart said: "The sun was baking down so we had to act quickly. It was the mother of the twins who rang us and, needless to say, she was very relieved that they had got out safe and well.

"We believe they had managed to get hold of the key fob and somehow locked themselves in."
