Two fires at holiday parks spark plice investigation

Two fires yesterday at two holiday parks at the eastern end of the Island are being investigated by police.

The first involved a caravan at Warden Springs Caravan Park, Thornhill Road, Warden.

It happened just before 3am and police are treating it as arson but they say it is too early to say whether the second at 11.30pm is also arson.

A chalet was alight at Eastern Holiday Camp, Leysdown Road, Leysdown.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding the caravan fire. Anyone with information is asked to ring 01795 419350 quoting reference CY/12387/08
