Two held after man, 30, stabbed in Folkestone

Two men are being held on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Folkestone.

A 30-year-old man suffered wounds to his upper body in Black Bull Road last night.

Two men, aged 27 and 29 and both from Folkestone, are in police custody over the serious assault.

They are understood to know the alleged victim, who was treated by ambulance crews in the street.

Detectives have recovered a weapon close to the scene, but could not confirm if it was a knife.

The man is now being treated at the Royal London Hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Police were called to Black Bull Road at just after 6pm.

It is not known if the stabbing happened in a residential property or in the street.

Part of the road is still closed while officers continue investigating this morning.
