Vicious attack on teenage girl

A TEENAGE girl suffered severe facial injuries when she was attacked in the street soon after leaving a fish and chip bar in Ditton, near Maidstone.

Police say the 16-year-old was attacked by four people who got out of a car as she walked in Nursery Road. Her attackers are described as two teenage girls and a woman and a man, both aged between 30 and 40.

Detectives say the assault, which left the victim with a fractured eye socket, severe bruising and facial cuts, followed a disagreement between a teenager and an older woman in Papas Fish and Chip Bar in London Road.

The attack happened at about 4.30pm last Friday, just a few minutes after the girl had left the restaurant.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or the argument inside the restaurant to contact DC Tracey Brightman on 01622 608182 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
