Video: Super-fit Mimi Anderson in treadmill challenge at Ashford

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

A woman is nearing the end of a mammoth challenge - to pound a
treadmill almost continuously for seven solid days.

Super-fit Mimi Anderson, from Smarden, started on Saturday and
has only taken just four hours' rest each day.

She plans to
finish the hundreds of miles at Ashford Designer Outlet Centre
tomorrow.

Mimi is already the holder of the female John O'Groats to Land's
End record, as well as the winner of races in the Arctic Circle and
the Kalahari desert.

To break this record she needs to run 400 miles, but she is
planning to go much further, hoping to break the male record of
517.25 miles.

She will be running until noon this Saturday.

This is not just an exercise in seeing what the human body can
endure.

Mimi is raising money for the Charity Help for Heroes, which is a
fantastically worthwhile cause.

Apart from giving money in person at the event, it is possible
to donate through her website at www.justgiving/Mimi-Anderson

So the next time you are planning a little light shopping as a
piece of therapy, think of Mimi. She will almost certainly be doing
something energetically mad.
