A woman has died after falling from a building in Ramsgate’s West Cliff area.

Police say the 46-year-old had clambered onto the flat roof of a second-storey bay window at St Augustine’s Road at around 7pm on Monday.

Two officers and a member of the woman’s family were called to the scene and talked to her. She fell from the roof to the pavement at around 7.30pm and was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate, where she died from her injuries at 9pm.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious. The facts have been reported to Thanet coroner Miss Rebecca Cobb and an inquest will be held.
