Woman trapped after 3-vehicle smash

A WOMAN had to be rescued from her car by firefighters after a crash involving two cars and a van in a Kent village.

The accident - which involved a red Ford Fiesta, a silver Honda CRV and a white Ford Transit - happened shortly before 4pm on Tuesday in Hawkhurst Road, Cranbrook.

The woman was trapped in the Ford Fiesta before being freed by Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

She was taken to Maidstone Hospital. Police say her injuries are not life-threatening.

The road was cleared by 5.50pm.
