KENT'S injury-hit bowler Martin Saggers is still far from recovered from a heel problem, according to director of coaching Graham Ford.

The 34-year-old former England seamer is yet to play for the county this season and Ford suggested it will be some time before he features.

He said: "Although he is on his feet a little better doing some cycling, gentle jogging and walk-throughs, he still hasn’t started bowling yet.

"He says it is feeling better but he is still experiencing some pain."
