COOPER: Has his sights on ending Scunthorpe's eight-month unbeaten home record

Scunthorpe United v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM manager Neale Cooper is confident his side can bring an end to Scunthorpe’s impressive home record on Saturday.

Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Barnsley extended The Iron’s unbeaten run to 11 games, with manager Brian Laws last tasting defeat at Glanford Park on New Year’s Day.

But Cooper said: "Records are there to be broken.

"The match report from Scunthorpe has just come down to us and they had a great result against Barnsley after a disappointing start."

Cooper is set to stick with the same 16 that have featured in Gills’ opening games, with Danny Spiller available after shaking off a knock picked up on Tuesday.

Tony Bullock (foot), Tom Williams (ankle) and Mark Saunders (leg) are all still sidelined.

Meanwhile, Andrew Crofts has been selected for the Welsh under-21 squad to face Malta in Llanelli on August 16.
