RAMSGATE have launched an inquiry into crowd trouble after Saturday's FA Cup defeat at Nuneaton left a young supporter injured, a bus badly damaged and the team needing a police escort away from the ground.

Chairman Richard Lawson said: "There were incidents after the game at Nuneaton and we as a club are vigorously investigating certain allegations together with Warwickshire Police and Football Association.

"This football club will not tolerate anti-social behaviour of any kind whatsoever and will take all necessary action against anyone found behaving in such a manner.

"As a precautionary measure, and in line with FA guidance, no alcohol will be allowed through the turnstiles on Saturday for the FA Trophy game against AFC Wimbledon and anyone trying to breach this rule will be refused entry."

He stressed: "We would like to remind all our supporters and the travelling Wimbledon fans that we are, first and foremost a family club. We welcome all true football fans and look forward to an enjoyable afternoon."
