Margate v Heybridge

Margate have injury worries surrounding three players ahead of their Ryman League Premier Division home game against Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.

Striker Michael Power (knee) and Roberto Corbishley (ankle) were both injured in Monday's 1-0 defeat at Dover, while defender Jack Parkinson missed the game with a groin problem and may struggle to recover in time.

Boss Barry Ashby said: "We have got a few bumps at the moment. Michael's is getting better, but Ricardo's ankle is still very sore.

Ashby misses out on another reunion with a former Gillingham team-mate as Swifts boss Brian Statham resigned this week. He said: "Brian's a good pal of mine and I speak to him on a regular basis. He did a great job in the four years that he has been there."

Wayne Bond has stepped up from reserve team boss, and will be in charge for the first time at Hartsdown Park on Saturday, when both teams will be looking for their first win of the season.
