Gillingham 4 - Burnley 2

GILLINGHAM made it three wins on the bounce on a controversial and very foggy day at Priestfield.

Rod Wallace gave Gills a 16th minute lead but Gareth Taylor brought the visitors level after good work from Robbie Blake 11 minutes later.

They should have taken the lead a minute later but Taylor put the ball wide with just Jason Brown to beat.

Paul Shaw gave Gills the lead again just before the break and Paul Smith made it 3-1 in injury time.

As the fog set in, Marlon King put the game beyond doubt just after the hour but then the game turned sour.

Dean West and Taylor were both sent off as the referee started to lose control but Burnley did get a goal back after Dimitrios Papadopoulos was bundled over by Nyron Nosworthyyb and Blake fired home from the spot at the second attempt.
