GILLS boss Mark Stimson has upped his offers for the three Stevenage players he hopes to bring to the club.

Stevenage yesterday turned down the offers for Adam Miller, Stuart Lewis and John Nutter, but the Gills are continuing their pursuit of the trio.

Stimson said: "We have doubled our bid for the three players and we will work right up until the last minute of deadline day to get them to the club."

If the bid is successful, the trio could go straight into the squad for the home game against Hartlepool on Saturday as Stimson tries to secure his first league win as Gills boss.
