Gills fans get chance to revamp crest

GILLINGHAM supporters are to be given the chance to design a new-look badge which will replace the Priestfield side's current crest.

The club are offering two free season tickets for next season to the person who designs the new badge.

The 1993 centenary design features the black and white stripes of New Brompton - the club's original name - and the Kent horse, but the club are keen to give the motif a revamp.

Budding designers are asked to consider the club's history and its Kent connections in their designs, with entries to be addressed to chairman Paul Scally or emailed to gpoynter@priestfield.com.
