Gills level but under pressure

Bradford City 0 – 0 Gillingham

NEITHER side have been able to find a breakthrough in the first 45 minutes at Valley Parade this afternoon.

Clear-cut chances have been few and far between, but the best opportunities have fallen to the home side.

Gills keeper Tony Bullock was forced into a save when former Gill Steve Claridge capitalised on a defensive mix-up after just 90 seconds.

Stephen Schumacher shot over from the edge of the box when he might have done better.

Dean Windass had a close range header blocked just before the break.

Ben Muirhead has caused the Gillingham midfielders plenty of problems with his pace but he has offered no final product.

The visitors suffered a blow on the stroke of half-time when they lost Danny Spiller through injury. He was replaced by 18-year-old Frannie Collin, who is making his first league appearance for the club.

Gillingham: Bullock, Wallis, Cox, Hope, Williams, Hessenthaler, Saunders, Crofts, Jarvis, Spiller (Collin 44), Harris.

Subs: Crichton, Jackman, Flynn, Hislop.
