High hopes for Dynamos ahead of tough test

Invicta Dynamos v Sheffield Spartans

Invicta Dynamos take on Sheffield Spartans this Sunday in the ENIHL Cup semi-final first leg, with head coach Kevin Parrish looking for a healthy lead to take to Yorkshire for the second leg.

"First thing’s first, we need a win," Parrish said. "But ideally we’d like to take at least a two or three-goal lead up to their place.

"We’ve found to our cost before that Sheffield is a difficult place to go to, with the big ice pad they play on.

"They’ll be a young, very hard- working side, who like to get in your face, but hopefully we can counter their threat with something resembling a fully- fit squad."

Invicta’s tie against the Spartans was confirmed following the Gillingham-based side’s 8-7 aggregate loss to Peterborough Islanders last weekend. A series that saw Mos reduced to the bare bones.
