Ice men set for busy climax to season

PARRISH: four games in eight days
PARRISH: four games in eight days

COACH Kevin Parrish is hoping his Medway-based Invicta Dynamos hockey team have recaptured their form just in time for a gruelling end of season run-in.

The Mos have tough double headers over the next two weekends, with a trip to Peterborough Islanders in the ENIHL Cup this Saturday followed by Sunday’s return play-off clash with Streatham.

The following weekend they travel to Newcastle for the National League final, before entertaining Haringey in what could prove to be a crunch play-off encounter.

Should the Greyhounds lose to Oxford on Sunday and the Mos beat Streatham, Parrish’s men would then need to defeat Haringey by three goals to win the play-offs.

He said: "It’s four games in eight days, it’s a bit of a pile-up and there’s not much we can do about it. Most of the lads will be taking time off work to be available, so it shows their commitment.

"It might be a little bit late for the play-offs now but we will find out this weekend."
