IN DEMAND: Graham Ford

KENT director of cricket Graham Ford is on the shortlist to become the new national coach of India.

The former South Africa coach is one of two candidates due to be interviewed for the post this weekend.

India has been without a permanent coach since the resignation of Greg Chappell after the World Cup. Ex-Sri Lanka boss Dav Whatmore was the initial favourite but has been ruled out.

Ford became director of cricket at St Lawrence in 2004.
