KENT wicketkeeper Geraint Jones has escaped punishment after being found not guilty of breaching ICC code of conduct regulations during England’s second Test against Bangladesh in Durham.

The charge against the England gloveman was levelled by manager of Bangladesh, Latif Khan, who alleged Jones had taken the "ball on the bounce" in dismissing batsman Nafees Iqbal.

A post match hearing, chaired by ICC match referee Alan Hurst at Chester-le-Street, found Jones not guilty of conduct that brings the game into disrepute.

Mr Hurst said: "On the evidence presented, the actions of the player did not breach the ICC Code of Conduct.

"Video evidence of the incident was inconclusive, and the player’s intent was not proven."

Jones faced an official reprimand and losing up to 50 per cent of his match fee had he been found guilty.
