LUKE YOUNG: Available after a calf injury

Aston Villa v Charlton

LUKE YOUNG, who lost his ever-present record to a calf injury for Charlton's home game against Bolton on Saturday, is expected to return tonight at Aston Villa where the Addicks will be looking to improve on one win in nine Premiership games.

Central defender Talal El Karkouri is certain of a recall having completed a three-match suspension but manager Alan Curbishley's selection options have been hit by a two-match ban to Paul Konchesky for using abusive or insulting words to referee Danny McDermott after a reserve game against Crystal Palace.

He was fined £2,000 and banned for two games after Charlton lost an appeal. Konchesky, who has impressed recently in a central midfield role, will also miss Saturday's match at Norwich.

Striker Shaun Bartlett is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a torn cartilage.
