Margate rush through to BOSE final

FIVE-TIME winners Margate are the first club through to this season’s BOSE Kent Senior Cup Final.

The Conference club needed extra time to see off plucky Dr Martens League Eastern Division strugglers Erith and Belvedere 3-0 at Park View Road on Tuesday evening. They now face either Welling or Bromley who meet next week.

Jean-Michel Sigere continued his hot streak in front of goal with two, making it six in four games, before Jake Leberl wrapped up victory with a 30-yard strike.

Margate were almost embarrassed nine minutes from the end of normal time. Glen Billenness’ free kick came back off the bar, only for young Erith substitute Alan Gobbett to head the rebound wide.

Boss Chris Kinnear gave a debut to former Chelsea youngster Ian Pulman. The Thanet teenager spent six years on the books at Stamford Bridge before being released recently.
