EUELL: does not figure in Iain Dowie's long-term plans

TRANSFER-LIST Charlton record signing Jason Euell could be on his way to Premier League rivals Middlesbrough before Thursday's closure of the transfer window.

Euell's agent, Tony Finnigan, confirmed Middlesbrough's interest after the player was told by Charlton boss Iain Dowie that he did not figure in his long-term plans.

Watford are also known to be interested in Euell who cost the Addicks £4,750,000 when he moved to The Valley from Wimbledon in July, 2001.

Charlton, meanwhile, have been linked with Souchaux's Senegal international central defender Souleymane Diawara and Uruguay midfielder Omar Pouso who they want to sign on loan.

Charlton expect to learn soon if they have been successful in securing a work permit for Costa Rica international midfielder Christian Bolanos.
