Saturday football round-up

AN INJURY-TIME equaliser by Dave Clifford rescued a point for Dover Athletic against the bottom side in Ryman League Division 1, Burgess Hill Town.

Whites had trailed 2-0 and 3-1 but Clifford popped up in the 96th minute to make it 3-3 and save his side's blushes. Marc Cumberbatch and Nick Humphrey scored the other two goals.

Second half goals from Ollie Schulz and Stuart Vahid gave Ramsgate a 2-0 win over Kent rivals Cray Wanderers at Southwood.

Stefan Ball had a penalty saved by Cray keeper Steve Northwood in the first half.

But it wasn't such good news for Ashford Town and Tonbridge Angels who lost 2-0 and 3-1 to Fleet Town and Walton Casuals.

Margate recorded their first win in five matches at Windsor & Eton in the Ryman League Premier Division thanks to a 42nd-minute goal from Adolph Amaoko. Recent recruit Lawrence Yiga was dismissed for headbutting an opponent.

Bromley also won 1-0 at home against Billericay Town but two goals from Eugene Ofori and one from James Hawes condemned Neil Cugley's Folkestone Invicta side to a 3-0 defeat at Braintree Town.

Rob Denness scored the first goal as Chatham Town kept pace near the top of Southern League Division 1 East with a 2-0 win at Enfield and a 58th-minute strike by Eddie McClements was good enough for Dartford to take all three points home from Great Wakering Rovers.

Meanwhile, a brace from Bradley Spice earned Sittingbourne a share of the points at Aveley.
