TWO late third period goals kept the Gillingham-based Invicta Dynamos' ice hockey squad's play-off hopes alive as they came from behind to beat Streatham Redskins in south London on Sunday.

The Mos had looked on course for a third consecutive play-off defeat when the Redskins took a 3-2 lead early in the final period, but strikes from Stuart Low and man-of-the-match Jamie Smith rescued the game.

Anthony Lennon and Jordy Black had put the Mos 2-0 up, but the home side mounted their own comeback to take the lead.

The win just about keeps the Dynamos within striking distance of play-off group leaders Haringey Greyhounds, who had inflicted a 7-5 defeat on the Gillingham team on Saturday.

That game also saw the Mos battle back from two goals down to pull the score back to 5-5, but a controversial sixth, which appeared to be kicked in, put the hosts back in front.

Ryan Giles, Anthony Lennon, AJ Smith, Black and Anthony Leone were on target against the Greyhounds.

Haringey have now won all four games to lead the table, while the Dynamos have won just two of their four and trail by four points.
