NEIL SMITH: "Everyone is going to have to be at their best - we can't afford to carry anyone"

Lewes v Welling United

WELLING player-manager Neil Smith has demanded his team produce their best performance of the season at title-favourites Lewes tonight.

The Wings were buoyed by their 1-0 win over Bath last Saturday but travel to a Lewes team, who have dropped just two points from their first six games in Blue Square South.

Smith, who watched Lewes defeat Newport 1-0 on Sunday, said: "Everyone is going to have to be at their best - we can't afford to carry anyone.

"But I saw one or two things that we can exploit and we'll be full of confidence after defeating Bath last weekend.

"I need the same attitude that we had last week from the players, they need to show plenty of fighting spirit and dig deep for each other."

Smith has no fresh injury worries with on-loan keeper Clark Masters expected to continue in goal.
