Welling dropped two points in their outside quest to reach the Blue Square South play-offs on Tuesday night.

The Wings failed to build on last weekend's home win over Havant as chances were few and far between against struggling Basingstoke.

A game of few chances at either end came to life in the second half when the hosts hit the woodwork from a Matt Warner free-kick.

Welling's best chance came late on when Moses Ademola rounded the keeper and despite being clipped he stayed on his feet only to fluff his finish into an empty net.

Welling host Hampton & Richmond this Saturday.
