Bishop's Stortford v Welling

WELLING manager Andy Ford has called on his players to show their true character at Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday night.

The Wings have one just once since Ford took charge at Park View Road, and are just one point above the Blue Square South drop zone.

Ford said: "It's a tough call for us to play another team chasing the play-offs but it's a nice ground to play at.

"I'm looking for characters in the team now to show that they can come out and put in a performance.

"They need to be fired up for this game and give it everything."

Welling will be without striker Amos Foyewa, who has been released and Ford is hoping to have at least one, if not two, new signings on board for the game.

Ford added: "I knew Amos wasn’t the finished article but we need someone who will score goals. He hasn’t scored and I signed him as a front man who will score goals."
