Fire crews had to take the roof off a car to get the driver out after it crashed in Eccles today.

The accident involving one car happened in Bull Lane at around noon. Two fire crews were called and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man.

He is thought to have suffered minor injuries. Emergency services were able to leave the scene at 12.40pm.
